Remembering, Honoring and Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Baptist minister and civil rights activist who was assassinated on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968. He was 39 years old.Dr. King spent his lifetime exposing the unfair and cruel treatment of African Americans throughout the United States. He fought for racial and economic equality and inspired countless others to do the same in the Civil Rights Movement.Today we take the time to honor the life, the work and the legacy of Dr. King. There are several online opportunities to do just that.

Thank you, Dr. King. Rest in peace.
